Wohlfahrt Haus Dinner Theatre
Wytheville, Virginia
Nestled in the beautiful Appalachian mountains of southwest Virginia
by Steven Skelley and Thomas Routzong
Nestled in the beautiful Appalachian mountains of southwest Virginia in the quaint town of Wytheville, the Wohlfahrt Haus Dinner Theatre is one of the best we've ever seen...anywhere!
The 200 seat theater is Virginia's only ALL musical theater, ALL the time and it shows. The Broadway-caliber musical productions are amazing.
The production of Thoroughly Modern Millie which we saw along with a capacity crowd was one of the best we've seen anywhere and the talent level was easily head and shoulders above most others.
Director Michael La Fleur is one of the reasons. Michael served as the Artistic Coordinator for megastar Celine Dion during the creation of her stunning Las Vegas show A New Day at Caesar's Palace.
Melissa Powell, who played the title character Millie, was both charismatic and spot-on with her vocals. Her Bachelors Degree of Fine Arts in Musical Theater is apparent.
Dinner theater food is not usually known for being anything to write about but the Wohlfahrt Haus Dinner Theatre is a delightfil surprise. The four course meals are prepared by an in-house chef and our dinners were excellent!
Soon after our fantastic experience at Wohlfahrt Haus Dinner Theater, we received another excellent review from a husband and wife who had been there just days before us. It is unanimous. Wohlfahrt Haus Dinner Theatre is a must-see Virginia experience.
