If you are considering a family vacation to Orlando or Universal Orlando Resort, the brand new Hyatt House across from Universal Orlando Resort offers the perfect family lodging in the perfect location. We were invited to visit and we were extremely impressed from the moment we walked through the lobby doors.
Instead of a hotel lobby, Hyatt House across from Universal Orlando Resort offer The Commons - a beautifully open space with ample seating options for relaxing, getting computer tasks finsihed, snacking, talking, enjoying a beverage, enjoying a hot breakfast buffet, or just looking out to the pool, firepit and fountains. There is even a frozen drink machine that offers smoothies for kids and frozen beverages for adults.
District General Manager Nina Shirk told us, "This is not the usual hotel design. They really went above and beyond with this design. This was just a field. It has been amazing to see every step of the process. There is so much pride here among our employees. We've really become a family. We're here for our guests. We want them to feel at home. It's the people that make the difference."

"Hyatt house is our family brand. A lot of travelers stay for a week or even a month. This is the perfect place for an extended stay. We have 88 Studio kitchen suites. We have a lot of adjourning rooms. About half of our suites have three TVs. Some have four! One of my favorites is the Family Suite. We're the only hotel with a suite with bunk beds, a pull-out sofa and a separate room with a king size bed. We have sixteen of those!" Nina Shirk said.
