Arabian Nights
Orlando, Florida
A fairy tale production of princes, princesses, genies and eclectic equestrian expertise
by Steven Skelley and Thomas Routzong
If you love horses and fairy-tale stories with princes, princesses and genies battling evil doers, Arabian Nights is the Orlando dinner theater experience for you!
Arabian Nights entertains between 7,500 and 8,000 guests per week on average in what they advertise as the world’s largest equestrian arena for a permanent show. If you haven’t been one of those guests yet, Audrey Padgett, Vice President of Public Relations and Marketing has something to say, “The thing I tell anyone who hasn’t visited Arabian Nights is that we have something for everyone to enjoy. With more than 22 acts, our talented horses and performers capture the imagination of adults and children alike. We truly believe that we will win your heart.”
The show is an fairy tale love story featuring an amazing selection of horses - Arabian, Andalusian, Appaloosa, Belgian, Percheron, American Quarter Horses, Paint Horses, Irish Draught, Canadian Warmblood Shetland Ponies and a Black Stallion that appears exclusively at Arabian Nights.
The 90 minute show offers everything from "a western square dance on horseback to Gypsies doing back flips, juggling and even jumping through a flaming hoop!"
The current production is titled "American Princess" in which all-American girl and champion rider Sherry Smith discovers that she is actually the Princess Scheherazade complete with a genie named Abracadabra.
Abracadabra takes the princess "to Europe to see the famous military-style quadrilles; to Latin America to see the romance of the garrocha; to a Gypsy camp to see unbelievable acrobatics on horseback; to the world of Imagination to see that beauty of the magical, mystical unicorn; and back to the U.S.A. where four fabulous acts honor America!" Abracadabra and Princess Scheherazade battle the evil Prince Vaneer and discover her true love, Prince Khalid.
The real stars of this show are the horses. Arabian Nights features approximately 52 horses from 11 different breeds that perform a variety of riding tricks and disciplines.
For an extra $10 per person, guests can enjoy the Sneak Peek Stable Tour and interact with many of the beautiful horses in the Arabian Nights stables one hour before show time. Children under the age of 18 can have their picture taken on one of the large draft horses for and additional $10 per person.
The VIP Experience includes the Sneak Peek Stable Tour, Priority Seating, and half off drinks. Cost is $15 additional per adult and $12 additional per child.
Dinners include Pot Roast on Pastry Puff, Sirloin Steak, Pork Loin with Marsala Sauce, Grilled Chicken Breast, Adult’s Chicken Tenders, Children’s Chicken Tenders, and Creamy Vegetable Lasagna. All meals are served with dinner rolls and unlimited house beer, wine and Pepsi products. Dessert is a choice of Chocolate or Vanilla cake.
